2022 Workshops!
New for 2022 we are adding a set of hands-on workshops! These fun and interactive sessions will be a great activity to take part in while you are at the show. Registration is required and bookings are open, plus your registration to any of these sessions includes your admission to the whole show. Learn about all of the sessions below.


Nautical Wreath Workshop - Saturday @ 10:15AM
Fun and decorative, create a nautical wreath for your home. Participants will learn how to create their own nautical wreath from re-purposed lobster rope. All supplies and equipment will be provided. Participants will leave with a beautiful wreath similar to the one shown.
Cost - $35+ fees & tax (includes admission into the Spring Living Show)
BOHO Wall Hanging Workshop - Saturday @ 12:00PM
Join Amy of Into the Woods - Boho Inspired Decor to create a gorgeous Yarn Wall Hanging.
Amy will guide you every step of the way as you choose the colours and textures you love best. You will leave with a beautiful wall hanging to add to your home.
Cost: $40+fees & tax (includes admission into the Spring Living Show)

Cookie Decorating Workshop - Saturday @ 2PM
Join Kate from Mind’s Eye Baking for a Spring-inspired cookie decorating workshop just in time for Mother’s Day! In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make royal icing, and use pastry bags and squeeze bottles to decorate tulip and daisy shaped cookies using pipe and flood technique.
Each participant will leave with at least 8 iced sugar cookies and the recipe for the icing.
Age Range: 12+
Cost: $65+ fees & tax(includes admission into the Spring Living Show)

Herb Planter Workshop - Sunday @ 10:30AM
Join Matthew Roy of Coastal Grove Farm for a hands on and informative workshop. You'll create your own 18"x7" herb garden filled with three herbs to take home with you.

Stage Presentations

Join Waste Check’s Education Coordinator, Anne LeBlanc to discuss the sources of litter in our community and the impact it has on our local environment. This presentation will showcase findings from the Roadside Litter Audit conducted by Divert NS in 2021, as well as information about litter on our beaches that has been collected by organizations such as Scotian Shores Ocean Warriors and Nova Scotia Beach Garbage Awareness group.

Homesteading isn't a trend to Jennifer Spencer, it's a way of life and she lives it every day at Yellow Brick Road Farm.
Join Jennifer as she breaks down today's homesteading trends, tips and tricks. Her high energy and one of a kind personality will keep you interested and entertained while you learn!

Hans brings a wealth of information from his past projects working with land surveyors, urban planners and engineers while developing Landscape Architecture for the Atlantic region. In 2017 Hans was hired by the Municipality of Argyle as Director of Public Works, providing him with the opportunity to experience the local community and set deeper roots for his own family to the table.
Join Hans of Arrows Edge as he takes you through what Landscape Architecture is and the benefits of using a Landscape Architect.

Local historian and member of the Yarmouth County Historical Society David Sollows will take you on a virtual walk through time as he showcases Heritage Gardens of Yarmouth.

Matt has a B.A. in Ecological Agriculture with an added certificate in Sustainable Food and Farming from the University of Massachusetts/Stockbridge School of Agriculture. He also holds a certificate in Permaculture Design through Colby Sawyer College as well as Master Gardener designation through the University of Minnesota Extension.
