2020 Workshop Schedule

New for 2020 we are adding a set of hands-on workshops! These fun and interactive sessions will be a great activity to take part in while you are at the show. Registration is required and bookings are open, plus your registration to any of these sessions includes your admission to the whole show. Learn about all of the sessions below. 

Sign Making Workshop - Friday @ 6:00PM

Last Name Sign Making is a new class that includes a 16" round sign, an adhesive stencil of your initial to paint the color of your choosing and a 13" - 3D cut out of your last name to paint! 
We'll send you home with a beautiful sign and hangers so you can place your masterpiece in your home! 


Cost: $55+tax(includes admission into the Spring Living Show)

Nautical Wreath Workshop - Saturday @ 10:30AM

Fun and decorative, create a nautical wreath for your home. Participants will learn how to create their own nautical wreath from re-purposed lobster rope. All supplies and equipment will be provided. Participants will leave with a beautiful wreath similar to the one shown.

 

A minimum of 12 participants IS required to run the workshop. Cost - $40+tax (includes admission into the Spring Living Show)

Kid's Paint Workshop - Saturday @ 2PM

Your little one's will love getting creative and decorating their own initial. Danielle MaHood will guide your little one's through a fun and creative workshop that will make them smile and shine. 

Age Range: 7-12

Size: 12-15"

 

Cost: $40+tax(includes admission into the Spring Living Show)

Board & Brush Workshop - Saturday @ 4PM

Get in touch with your inner DIY master! This workshop is the perfect time to create that wooden sign you’ve been eyeing on Pinterest! You’ll have the chance to assemble, stain and/ or paint your sign then choose from a variety of fun (and themed) stencils!

Size: 15"x15"

Chicken Keeping Workshop - Sunday @ 11AM

Chicken keeping has never been so easy! Are you getting chicken fever but not sure where to start? Come chat chicken and enjoy a morning of facts, myth busting, where to source local and best breeds for backyard chicken keeping.

 

Jennifer Spencer runs Yellow Brick Road Farm, is a mother of four and has had chickens for almost her whole life. This value packed course will be about learning good animal husbandry.

 

Cost $25+tax (includes admission into the Spring Living Show).

Starting a Hobby Farm - Sunday @ 1PM

If you want to establish a hobby farm, you will need to begin by planning and setting goals. Consider what animals and crops you would like to raise. Assess your land and resources, or get an idea of what you are looking for if you want to buy a farm.

Niki Jabbour - The Savvy Gardener

Niki Jabbour is the award-winning author of Niki Jabbour’s Veggie Garden Remix, The Year-Round Vegetable Gardener, and Groundbreaking Food Gardens. Her work is found in Fine Gardening, Garden Making, Birds & Blooms, Horticulture, and other publications, and she speaks widely on food gardening at events and shows across North America.

She is the host and creator of The Weekend Gardener radio show.
